Hey Camper, where did you post your pics???

I love the area by Garner.  Was the river running good?  We canceled a trip up there during this past hot, dry summer, as the level was so low, we were too leery to get in.  Camping in S.C. Texas in the heat is just not worth it if you can't cool off in the water.

Well hopefully we can swing by to see ya'll at GRSP for Thanksgiving.  This time, we need to exchange ph. #'s.  LOL!!! Smiley

We haven't been to Palmetto in like 20 years.  I would like to go during Winter, also.

Well Camper keep "rubbing it in", I enjoy hearing about every one's good Camping times!!! Grin

We went to Garner in July and it was hot!!!  The river was low, the park was crowded and the Frio (cold) river was warm!  But we did have a good time..it reached in the 100's both days.  We tent camped, but had a portable AC which worked well when it wasn't the heat of the day.  It worked ok during the heat of the day...enough to feel comfortable for a nap!

LoL, Jesse I think we've seen you camping somewhere with your tent and A/C.  I'll bet thats some good sleeping, right there with the cold temp. and gentle hum!!! Smiley

exactly!  that hum is great!  drowns out the other sounds...mostly of other campers....and it gets too cold at night...still haven't figured out how to controll the temp...

I really need to go camping, miss it!  Last time we went to Garner in Oct stayed in a cabin...which was nice, but there's something about tent camping--even if i have a AC and not sleeping on the ground!   Grin

Hope everyone had as great a Thanksgiving as we did.  The camping trip was fantastic a usual.  I think we got the worst spot in the park but still had a great time.

Already packed for the next trip!  Palmetto in two weeks then McKinney for New Years.

Hey Camper...............I didn't think there was a bad spot to camp at GRSP!!!  Grin

Sorry we didn't get by to see you, we had relatives come down from Chicago.

When you go to McKinney, are you going to go into Austin for fun???

Also, sorry to hear about your stereo and flashlight getting stolen out of your camper!!!! Huh

I want my flashlight back!!  Sad They can have the stupid stereo but I LOVE that flashlight!!!  Oh well.

It depends what you want out of a sight at the park.  We were with  friends and one uses a wheel chair and this sight was really rocky.

We tend to stay pretty close to the camp grounds when we go to McKinney but do venture out sometimes.  In fact, that's where I found my flashlight that went missing.... sob, sob, sob... Cry ( that's crying, not calling the bad guy a name) Wink

Howdy.  Had a wonderful holiday. Went camping for New Years.  Supposed to go this weekend but put it off a week just in case we really do get some rain.   Anyone got any trips planned??
